There are two specialist presenters for the day, Firstly, Ian Batterbee, Practice Principal of Sterling & Law. Our second presenter is, Chris Matthews, a partner at Churchers.

Ian Batterbee, Practice Principal

Ian is a respected, trusted IFA with over 25 years’ financial services experience.

One of Ian’s skills, is his ability to communicate complex financial matters to his clients in an easy-to-understand way.

Further to that, Ian’s calm approach , coupled with his experience helps his clients, resist the urge to make emotional & potentially damaging financial decisions.

Christopher Matthews – Partner

After qualifying as a solicitor, Christopher joined Churchers in 2007 and was appointed partner in 2013.

He is a senior member of the Wills, Probate and trusts department.

Furthermore, Chris offers a wealth of experience in a wide range of private client work.

This includes drafting Wills, setting up and administering Trusts and dealing with Powers of Attorney. 

Christopher specialises in Inheritance Tax advice and the administration of estates.

He believes passionately in providing practical and effective advice tailored to each client.
